Entrance Scholarship (for all applicants, except MSc FinTech)
Applicants may apply for an Entrance Scholarship offered by HKUST. The scholarship is to attract and financially support academically and professionally outstanding students to join the program. Students with outstanding performances and recommendations in the following area may consider to apply for the scholarship:
- Academic qualification – obtaining one of the following prior to admissions:
- minimum Cumulative Grade Average (CGA) of 3.150 (equivalent to B+); or
- minimum Second class honors, Division I ; or
- other qualifications of equivalent standard.

Admission Scholarships (for MSc FinTech only)
Scholarships will be provided to outstanding candidates with excellent academic performance as well as well-rounded backgrounds. Student’s eligibility for the scholarships will be assessed on a case by case basis after online application is submitted and interview is conducted.
Engineering MSc International Scholarship (for international applicants only, except MSc FinTech)
To embrace cultural diversity and attract good international applicants, SENG would like to support academically excellent ones to complete the MSc programs.
New full-time non-Chinese international applicants with outstanding performances and recommendations in at least one of the following areas may apply for this scholarship.
- Academic Excellence – obtaining one of the following prior to admissions:
- minimum Cumulative Grade Average (CGA) of 3.150 (equivalent to B+); or

Hong Kong Aviation Scholarship Scheme (for MSc full-time AE only)
Applicants may apply for the Scheme awarded by HKSAR Government under the Maritime and Aviation Training Fund. Please submit the followings by 31 August 2024.

Professional Training and Examination Refund Scheme (ProTERS) of the Maritime and Aviation Training Fund (MATF) (for part-time MSc-AE only)
Part-time students taking AESF courses after June 2019 may apply for the Scheme. Each successful applicant will be refunded 80% of their fees, subject to a maximum of HK$30,000 (whichever is less) for the pre-approved course/examination. Only the fees for enrolling in the pre-approved course(s) or taking pre-approved examination(s) can be refunded. Any other charges, such as registration fees, administration fees, late charges and change of course fee charges are not eligible for refund.
MATF Courses/Examinations Code: AC191
Eligibility:
(a) the applicant must be :
(i) a resident of the HKSAR and lawfully employable in Hong Kong; and
(ii) in full-time employment in the maritime or aviation sector with an organization/company in Hong Kong during the time when taking the pre-approved course/examination and at the time of application;
(b) the applicant has enrolled in or taken one of the pre-approved courses or examinations on or after 11 January 2014 (after June 2019 for HKUST MSc-AE part-time students), and has completed the course to the satisfaction of the course provider or passed the examination; and
(c) the applicant has not been granted any other forms of government subsidy or financial assistance for the relevant pre-approved course/examination.

Hong Kong Talent Development Scholarship (for Hong Kong permanent citizens)
Applicants who are permanent citizens of Hong Kong and have achieved one of the following academic results in undergraduate studies when applied, will be considered for the Hong Kong Talent Development Scholarship:
- A minimum Cumulative Grade Average of 3.150 (equivalent to B+); or
- A grade average of 80% or above; or
- First class honors
Applicants who are eligible for this scholarship will be considered automatically, please upload the relevant documents (e.g., identity document) via online application system during application period for verification. If approve, the scholarship will be awarded in the form of tuition fee reduction.
Arthur and Louise May Scholarship for Young Engineers
Young engineering professionals are welcome to apply for the Scholarship via the online application form.

Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program
It is a scholarship for new students from East, Southeast and South Asia to pursue master's studies and cross-cultural enrichment.
What it offers:

Government's Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS)
Successful applicants who have the right of abode in Hong Kong or have resided in Hong Kong continuously for three complete years immediately prior to the commencement of their year of study may apply for the Government's Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS) from the Government Student Finance Office. The scheme offers loan up to the full program fee. Loans awarded are not means-tested. Continuing Education Fund (CEF) (if applicable)
Some programs/courses have been included in the list of reimbursable courses for the Continuing Education Fund (CEF). Students may refer to the program website for the list of programs/courses. Eligible applicants who are Hong Kong citizens and are eligible for CEF may be reimbursed with a maximum sum of HK$25,000 upon successful completion of the entire program with an overall attendance rate of over 70%.
