Mir Ahnaf

From a young age, I’ve always been drawn to understanding how things work, especially in the realm of science and engineering. My fascination with the mechanics of everyday objects—like how two small "fans" could lift an entire airplane—eventually led me to pursue a degree in Electronic Engineering at HKUST.
Throughout my journey, I’ve been committed to both learning and applying knowledge. Whether it's designing digital circuits or programming in C++ and Python, my passion lies in transforming theoretical concepts into practical solutions. This passion has driven me to explore a variety of fields, from circuit design to AI-powered applications for personalized nutrition, which I helped develop as a research analyst intern at a company.
Beyond academics, my experiences as a founding member of a non-profit organization taught me the importance of teamwork and social impact. Organizing informational seminars and raising funds for communities during the pandemic showed me how engineering, like leadership, can bring positive change to the world.
Being an engineer allows me not only to solve complex problems but also to contribute meaningfully to society. I’m eager to continue learning, innovating, and applying my skills to build solutions that make a real difference and help others do the same.
