Andy Ka Shing

My passion for engineering, particularly computer science, began at a young age. I remember the excitement of writing my first lines of code, driven by a desire to automate and enhance my gaming experience. It was a pivotal moment that ignited my curiosity for the field.

Fast forward to my time at HKUST, and I find myself immersed in a world of top-tier resources and opportunities that I could have only dreamed of during my secondary school years.

However, in the process of my studies, I have come to realize that I still have much to learn and grow. I acknowledge that my knowledge from secondary school was limited, and I have made significant mistakes along the way, and there have been moments when I've struggled with self-doubt and self-criticism.

But so what?

Shall I let these challenges overshadow my path? I refuse to accept such a fate. I refuse to wait for a special someone to validate my worth or capabilities. Instead, I yearn for transformation, resilience, and inner strength. They say that strength is forged through sacrifice. I am prepared to face the thorns, to let the blackened blood flow, in order to emerge with a path that shines brightly. I believe in the power of personal growth and the ability to rise above adversity.
