Engineering is nothing more than building LEGOs. We observe, we think, we plan, we create. I love engineering, just as I love to see the world as a puzzle. During my time as a computer science student, I am constantly challenged to solve problems in different ways. Every step of the way from discovering the problem to finding the solution makes me feel as if I am standing on solid ground, and I am moving my fingers and juicing my brain to build a better world. HKUST is home to me. Although I'm from Taiwan, the campus experience has inspired me. Over the past two years, I have stayed up all night working on the robotics team. I have been in touch with talented people who can come up with elegant ways to solve problems, and I have made friends with people who are very sociable and can convey their thoughts easily. HKUST provides us with many extra-curricular opportunities that are the most valuable to me, and that is the very best thing I cherish. Engaging in academic-oriented clubs and organizations, receiving regular emails about competitions, and constantly meeting new people have given me invaluable chances to enhance my soft skills while building upon the strong educational foundation that HKUST provides us with. As an advocate for engineering, I am deeply fascinated by HKUST, which has fostered an environment where my passion can thrive.
