Engineering is not merely about engines, it’s to come up with new ideas to improve the current technology so it can fulfill human needs. In school of Engineering, I was given so much opportunity to design what I had in mind, printing it out with 3D machines, and got my hands dirty in constructing that design. I attended workshops to enhance my practical skills, oral skills, last and not least, the ability to come up with brand new ideas to tackle the insufficient in life. Indeed, being an engineer is not merely sitting in front of the computer or machines, but instead, observing what is lacked in life, and design something that truly makes a difference. School of Engineering in UST really provides you with abundant resources to achieve what you desire and what you expect yourself to become. Leaving my home country and study in an university abroad wasn’t an easy choice to make. Yet, this journey has not once let me down. Having the opportunity to study in UST, I got to meet friends from different parts of the world, engage in different societies such as the Philharmonic Orchestra Society and Badminton team, and most of all, watch myself evolve and grow to be a better being.
