Engineering, for me, is not just a field of study but a way to channel my curiosity and creativity into solving real-world problems. From a young age, I have been fascinated by how things work, and this curiosity has driven me to explore diverse areas such as AI, robotics, and product design. My journey at HKUST has been transformative, as it has provided me not only with a technical foundation but also with a learning environment to innovate and grow. The courses in Data Science and Technology have taught me to think critically and solve challenges using structured methodologies, while the collaborative projects have given me hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies.

What I love most about engineering is its potential to make a difference, even on the smallest scale. I resonate deeply with the saying, "If I cannot be the sun that lights up the earth, I can be a lamp and light up my street," because it encapsulates my belief that every contribution matters. Whether it's deploying a boar detection system to protect farms or designing a novel self-cleaning mask, I strive to create solutions that have a tangible impact, no matter how localized.

Studying at HKUST has reinforced my passion for using technology to address challenges creatively. It’s a place where I’ve learned that engineering is not just about building machines but about shaping a better future for communities, one innovation at a time.
