Engineering is one of the most important foundations of modern cities. It isn't just about creating trinkets and building infrastructure; it's about bringing all sorts of new technologies into our daily lives and reshaping human society.

Being an engineering student at HKUST has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The university’s rigorous curriculum, combined with its strong emphasis on innovation and hands-on learning, has shaped me into a more curious and solution-driven individual. I’ve enjoyed the challenge of solving complex problems, from theoretical concepts to real-world applications. A diverse selection of courses, ranging from algorithm design to integrated systems design, all taught by distinguished professors, has equipped me with a strong technical foundation and adaptability across various engineering fields. Internship opportunities and university societies have provided me with valuable experience in software engineering. I learned many useful tricks directly from my seniors.

Furthermore, HKUST has a lively and diligent community. Through participating in all kinds of society-led events, I have made many new friends who share my interests. The collaborative culture, where knowledge-sharing and peer support are highly encouraged, has fostered an environment where students can thrive together. Working with talented classmates who share the same passion for engineering has been a motivating force, pushing me to constantly challenge myself and elevate the quality of my work. The diverse backgrounds of undergraduate students here have also helped me learn about different cultures. I definitely do not regret coming to HKUST SENG, and I promise you won't either!
