Engineering is a field that solves societal problems and meets its needs. As an engineer, I will be applying my knowledge of a field to research findings that lead to technological advancements, increasing the quality of life and the efficiency of society. Anyone interested in solving problems will obviously have a great passion for engineering. The passion for engineering and the academic experience at HKUST are incredibly fulfilling for students like me, who are eager to explore the frontiers of science, technology, and innovation, and contribute to the advancement of society.

My experience studying engineering has been nothing short of enjoyment and hardship. While studying engineering, I refined my problem-solving skills while gaining coding skills and interpersonal skills. I have worked hard in all my classes and gained knowledge and perspective. In my time at HKUST, the top university in Hong Kong and one of the high-ranked universities globally, I have learned from disciplines other than engineering, which has strengthened and balanced my knowledge of fields like business, science and arts.

As an Engineering Student Ambassador, I will be able to demonstrate my passion for engineering and promote it to various kinds of people. In my time as an ESA, I hope to spread awareness of engineering.
