I’ve always been a numbers guy; ever since I was a kid, mathematics and the sciences were consistently my favorite subjects. In fact, I wanted to be an astronaut due to my fascination with spacecraft and astrophysics. Through various projects, courses, and internships I participated in during my high school life, my passion for designing and creating new things arose. While applying for university, I thought about applying for a course that combined all of my interests. This finally led me here, working towards an Aerospace Engineering degree as a Belt & Road scholar at HKUST.  Coming from a very business-oriented family, this was quite an unconventional decision. However, my love for engineering continues to drive me through any obstacles and challenges presented at university.

Through the HKUST School of Engineering, I have met and learned from many people with different social and cultural backgrounds but still share the same passion and ambition to achieve their goals in a competitive environment. I have seized many engineering-related opportunities such as the Red Bird Racing Team, the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, and of course, the Engineering Student Ambassador Program. These have all allowed me to learn skills that will be useful later on in my engineering career.  Overall, my experience studying at HKUST has been extremely valuable and rewarding.
