I am majoring in Integrative Systems and Design because I am deeply passionate about the fusion of technology and design to create exceptional user experiences. I firmly believe that by combining technical knowledge with a keen eye for aesthetics and user-centric design principles, we can develop innovative and impactful products. Engineering serves as the foundation for acquiring the necessary technical skills and knowledge to transform ideas into reality and bring meaningful experiences to users. Through my engineering studies at HKUST, I have gained a deep understanding of the technicalities in designing and developing products. Engineering has provided me with the tools necessary to bring objects and experiences to life, from learning about electronics and circuit design to programming and system integration,. It has equipped me with the knowledge to optimize performance, ensure functionality, and overcome technical challenges in the pursuit of creating great user experiences. The interdisciplinary nature of the Integrative Systems and Design program at HKUST has further enhanced my ability to combine engineering principles with design thinking. I have learned to consider not only the technical aspects but also the human factors and aesthetics that contribute to a compelling user experience. The hands-on projects and collaborative work at HKUST have allowed me to apply my engineering skills in real-world scenarios, further solidifying my passion for creating products that seamlessly integrate technology and design.
