Celia Marielle Estelle

Hello! I am Célia, an international student from France who is pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering. I did my high school in Shenzhen, China, graduated with a French baccalaureate. I decided to join HKUST in order to stay in this international environment and at the same time benefit from an excellent quality education. I really developed my interest in mechanical engineering after finishing a one-year long research project about biomimicry and thermodynamics. I realized how applying knowledge from physics could solve practical problems to make an impact on our lifestyle. I strongly believe that the university can offer me the opportunity to meet people sharing the same passion for engineering as me and develop my curiosity in various fields, including academic, social and cultural. So far the university has fulfilled my expectations and I am really enjoying my time in Hong Kong. I joined the engineering student ambassador program in order to share my experience and promote engineering, while meeting different people and extending my social network.
