Anwesha

Hello there! I am Anwesha, an international student from India. After my high school days and first year at HKUST, I have come to realize that Engineering may seem like a simple word amounting to just 11 letters, yet it encompasses and overshadows all spheres of our lives. Ever since the discovery of fire, or the Bronze Age and its tools, our race has come a really long way in striving to make life comfortable. Human imagination and intelligence never run dry when it comes to creating faster, stronger, convenient technologies that are the backbone to our civilizations. Being part of this effort, of helping create innovations that revolutionize the way the world works and help mankind, is what motivated me to choose Engineering as a career option.

HKUST's School of Engineering does an excellent job when it comes to arousing interest in students' minds to strive for innovation. It provides me as well as other opportunities and excellent facilities that have helped us learn about our passions and possible contributions that we can make to society. With its amazing and competitive atmosphere, exchange partnerships, global exposure, sports facilities and beautiful seaside campus (that all swoon over!), HKUST provides an atmosphere like no other.
