Jessica

Hello, my name is Jessica. I was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia, and am the youngest child of two. I am currently pursuing BEng in Civil Engineering. This is my first time living abroad away from my family but so far, my experience has been colourful. I have already madeprecious memories since the first semester in HKUST, and am looking forward to gaining even more unforgettable experiences in the future.

I chose engineering because it allows me to see how principles, scientific knowledge and are applied into design and practice. I believe that the art of engineering is applying scientific theories into design. I am very eager to learn how engineers use these principles and integrate them into something concrete. I am also planning to minor in Business so as to broaden my knowledge because an understanding of business is also essential.

As an ESA, I hope to be a helping hand to those who have any inquiries about HKUST, especially the School of Engineering, and I am more than happy to share my experiences with people.
