Erika

Hi, I'm Erika Sharma. I was born in New Delhi, India but I have lived in China ever since I was 5 years old. I have always had an avid interest in science and when I was younger I wanted to be a scientist. As time went by, my interests shifted and by the end of high school, I realized that although I loved Chemistry, Biology and Physics, I didn't want to spend the rest of my life in research. I wanted a hands-on career where I could innovate and create. This is why I chose to study engineering and also why I chose HKUST. 

I believe that HKUST School of Engineering is a great platform for innovation. There are numerous opportunities for me to join projects and programs that let me explore and pursue my interests. There are amazing courses offered to me even at an undergraduate level, where I can not only learn theory, but also practical skills such as designing my own products and 3D printing them. In HKUST, there are no limits. As long as you're passionate, you can achieve anything you've ever dreamed of.
