Hello everyone! I am Terence from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

Compared with my secondary school life, my experience at SENG has had an extremely strong impact on my personal development.

The academic atmosphere created by the School of Engineering has not only given me much more than professional knowledge, but an opportunity to get in touch with top-notch faculty members, diligent senior students and, most importantly, the all-around outstanding schoolfellows. Even though it is a huge challenge to get along with such high caliber individuals, the experience of frustration enables me to step forward without hesitation and fear. Unlike other excellent students at SENGI felt the great frustration due to my weak foundation in English and Maths. However, it is the painful experience that has given me the courage to have a positive attitude and constantly strive to give my best effort. Without my experience here, it would be merely impossible to imagine the sense of achievement and exhilaration when conquering fears.

I joined the Engineering Student Ambassador program as I wanted to promote the School of Engineering and HKUST to the general public. As the first research university in Hong Kong, HKUST has a global reputation that is known worldwide. Now in the era of engineering, we have the opportunity to embrace the high-tech future with confidence.

It is a privilege for me to be a part of the School of Engineering at HKUST and I am looking forward to serving and representing it as an Engineering Student Ambassador.
