Sam Tzu-yang

My experience with SENG has definitely exceeded my expectations. HKUST provides diverse opportunities that enhances my ability as an engineer while also enriching my life in the university. I'm Kuo, a student from Taiwan, studying Computer Science and Industrial Engineering as my majors. 

Collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds with varying knowledge in the past year at HKUST, I have engaged in many competitions and social activities, like the Hackathon. With my friends, our team constructed and turned lots of crazy thoughts into reality. The hands-on experience and the sense of achievement are always fascinating to me. Also, as an engineer, the most compelling thing to me is to produce things that benefit others, yet can also be profitable. By simply typing a few lines on the computer, it will automatically perform calculations or predictions for you. I am really an enthusiast of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. 

HKUST School of Engineering is the place for me to build connections with other students and even professors. I am glad to represent this School and become an Engineering Student Ambassador, and I look forward to serve and communicate with more people in the near future.
