Hey everyone! I’m Adi, an Indian who was brought up in Indonesia. What drew me to the School of Engineering is the large variety of opportunities available and the flexibility provided for students to engage in any fields which interest them.

Before joining HKUST, I did not know much about many of the fields in engineering. I had the desire to learn about them and see if they interested me. HKUST allowed me to expand my interests by exploring other subjects through taking introductory courses, attending seminars by professors and industry experts from all over the world, and joining engineering projects.

Once you have found a few fields that interest you, HKUST provides many opportunities to gain in-depth experience in those areas. These include courses on many of the emerging areas of technology and engineering, research programs under highly experienced professors, opportunities to join large engineering competitions, and internship openings in Hong Kong. HKUST, as a leading international university, also offers numerous summer and term exchange programs with other leading universities all over the globe.

Lastly, the vibrant city of Hong Kong and the scenic campus at HKUST will ensure that you remain comfortable and feel at home.
