Studying Mechanical Engineering and Business at HKUST has been a very enjoyable experience. It has allowed me to explore not only how technology works but also how it can be designed to meet human needs while minimizing its impact on the environment. I have always been fascinated by how people create technologies that solve real-world problems, particularly innovations that balance efficiency with sustainability. This curiosity drives me to approach my studies with both a technical and a social perspective, allowing me to see engineering as not just a way to innovate, but also a way to serve society responsibly.

One of the most inspiring experiences I have had at HKUST was participating in the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program. Working closely with a professor on developing materials to save electricity exposed me to the rigor and creativity of academic research. It was an eye-opening experience that sparked my passion for discovery. This intellectual challenge of making a meaningful societal impact had most definitely enhanced my engineering experience at HKUST.

Apart from the opportunities that HKUST has given me, the strong culture of innovation in the School of Engineering has continuously motivated me to think critically about the role of engineering in shaping a sustainable future. The combination of mechanical engineering with business equips me with both the technical foundation and the strategic mindset to make an impact. With all of that said, I am truly thankful for the opportunities and the environment that the school has provided for me, and I hope to leverage that to make an impact on our society.
