I’ve always been fascinated by how engineering brings ideas to life through creativity and problem-solving. My journey started with small projects, like building a simple track-following robot, and later grew into a team effort where we developed an Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system, sponsored by HELP International School and Dahua Company. Those experiences really showed me how exciting it is to turn concepts into real, working solutions — and they sparked my interest in software engineering, which is the path I hope to take in the future.
Now, as a second-year student at HKUST, I’ve been lucky to explore my passions even further. Between course projects and my involvement with the International Council of Malaysian Scholars, I’ve dived into areas like web development and cybersecurity, while also picking up valuable teamwork and leadership skills along the way.
Becoming an Engineering Student Ambassador (ESA) is meaningful to me because I’ve always enjoyed sharing my experiences with others. Back in high school, I served as a student ambassador, and now I’m excited to do the same at HKUST — helping prospective students see what makes this place so special.
Through this program, I hope to connect with people, share stories, and grow alongside a community of passionate future engineers.
