Welcome to clan 6! We are Nova and our clan’s theme is innovation. We chose our clan name as Nova because this word is derived from the Latin word for “new” which correlates with our team spirit, which is to be creative! We will help you to transit smoothly from your secondary school to the university. We will guide you through the first few steps of your university life in order to give you a joyful start. In addition, as our clan's theme is innovation, we want you to be ingenious through our inspiration.
Here are 5 ways we will help:

Share our knowledge about UST (e.g. campus map, shuttle bus)

Guide you through the courses and curriculum (e.g. course selection, major introduction)

Provide mental support beyond academic success. Your feeling matters!

These are only a few of the many ways we will help you further your university life as a first year student. As Albert Einstein once said – “The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.” We also want all of you to end your first year with a clearer idea about what you want to do in your next few years at HKUST.
